Syntax 8 is a new project by bigbluntballer225 aka bonkoloid aka reverse ferraro aka Blahmi aka pphil anderson aka floyd aka bichlid. Inspired by the abrasive sound of trace like sienna sleep and them other fuckers and coinciding with the start of the Olympics, Bonkoloid presents Syntax 8, a new ep with high-inducing energetic trance experiments.

Speaking to the man in his house, he sits in his couch watching the olympics. "i luv the olympics a lot," the bigbluntballer proclaims in text, "i think the first one that i watched was the 2008 1 in beijing. i also got the mario n sonic 2000008 olympic game as well on my DSi and that was my favorite game at that time, dont know where it is now but i really wanna play it again and get gold." He also talks about other influences about the album. "i really hate energy drinks, i drank my first 1 this july and it made my life hell. i dont know how yall make urself suffer lik that that was terrible, drink tea or sumn. i wnted to make music that felt what i felt like when i drank it cuz i felt terrible, my friends had to calm me down, it sucked. hate being manic. i think that the manic screams i hear a lot in sports competitions are very scary, but i get it. the thrill of winning a competition and getting gold is celebratory, so i wanted to tap into that mindspace for this project."

This short ep includes a lot of goofy type imagery, like track covers with sharks, a poorly drawn cover of a monster under a text wall repeating "JERICHO JERICHO WHERE ARE YOU JERICHO", and a funny face plastered on the front cover. "i hated doing these covers" says thebigbluntballer44 "they were done in a manic state back in early july, i hated what they look like but it fits with the theme." There are also imagery of the famed pirate flag that bonkoloid uses a lot as a trademark as of late. "i dont really fuck with pirates that much but i like that the flag is well known as fear and other shit, so i like being represented by the pirate flag"

"hopefully this will become dance classics or sum bullshit. do you think theres better allowance for us right now?"
Bonkoloid probably won't do this again, maybe or maybe not this is the most dance-esque thing he has ever. We won't know what will happen next, if he will stay in this direction or do something totally different, but it should stay that way, it takes time and patience for gold.
